Achieving good health is the primary responsibility of every individual. The first step towards good health is the adoption of good diet. It is no longer strange that people who visit nature cure centres are being advised to avoid foods like meat, white flour products, sugar, soft drinks, coffee, alcohol, fried and over cooked food. They are also told to retain the skin of grains, to boil potatoes with the back on, etc. The advantages of eating nuts, vegetables and fruits are also emphasized. These instructions are aimed at educating the individuals on the importance of detoxifying the blood stream ,thereby maintaining good health through good diet . When this is done, it becomes easier to prevent ailments that are preventable, since the immune system of such healthy person will not allow ailments to inhabit his blood stream.
Nothing can go wrong with the human system except when there are problems with the cell renewal process. Such problems will not arise if one's diet is right. The rightness of a diet means the food contains the " essential nutrients such as amino acids, glucose, essential fatty acids, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and oxygen". Whether we understand these terms or not, it should be noted that they are contained in the various foods when eaten in the right proportion. When food contains all the essential nutrients, preventing an illness becomes easy, since illnesses are caused by deficiency in such nutrients.
To remain healthy, many youths and older people need to change their diets to include natural and healthy foods which exclude all denatured foods.The consumption of red meat has to be minimized too.The habit of eating more of fruits and vegetables and less of carbohydrates and proteins should be cultivated.Because many people think that protein is not fattening, they eat too much of it without realizing that the storage of any excess by the body will lead to weight gain.Water is life and nothing can replace it.Adequate quantity of water must be consumned daily to aid the digestive and eliminative processes.
If the right food is taken in the right quantity, at the right time, good health can be ensured.Good health can be ensured through good diet.
